EV Charger Installation in Fort Mill, SC — Level 1 & Level 2, Indoor & Outdoor

Got a new electric vehicle and need a proper charger at home? You’re in the right place. At Upgrade Electric, EV charger installation is one of our most requested services — and for good reason. Charging at home on a Level 2 setup is faster, more convenient, and honestly just makes owning an EV a lot easier day to day.

We handle the full install — the charger, the dedicated circuit, the panel check, the permit, and the inspection. You don’t have to coordinate with anyone else or figure out what’s needed. We take care of it all.

Built on Trust. Wired With Pride.

I’ve done a lot of EV charger installs across Fort Mill and the surrounding areas, and what I’ve noticed is that most homeowners just want it done right without the hassle. They don’t want to figure out permits. They don’t want surprises on the invoice. They just want to plug in at night and wake up with a full charge.

That’s exactly what we deliver. Clean install, proper wiring, everything permitted and inspected, and a walkthrough at the end so you know exactly how it works.

Every job is held to the same standard I’d want on my own home. That’s not going to change.

Why Choose

Why Homeowners in Fort Mill Choose Us for
EV Charger Installs.

A lot of companies will send someone out to hang the charger and call it done. That’s not how we work. Before we install anything, we check your panel to make sure it has the capacity to handle the new circuit. If it doesn’t, we tell you honestly and walk you through your options. No surprises mid-job.

We also handle all the permits and inspections — which matters if you ever sell your home. An unpermitted EV charger install can cause real headaches during a home sale. Ours are always done by the book.

What's the difference between Level 1 and Level 2 charging?

Level 1 uses a standard 120V outlet and adds roughly 3 to 5 miles of range per hour. Level 2 uses a dedicated 240V circuit and adds anywhere from 20 to 30 miles of range per hour depending on your vehicle. For most homeowners, Level 2 is the right call.

Not always. We check your panel’s available capacity before we recommend anything. If there’s room for a new 50 or 60-amp circuit, we can usually proceed without a panel upgrade. If your panel is already at capacity or outdated, we’ll be straight with you about that.

Yes. Outdoor installs are very common and we do them regularly. We use weatherproof enclosures and proper conduit to make sure the install holds up in all conditions — rain, heat, cold.

Yes, every time. An EV charger on a dedicated 240V circuit requires a permit in South Carolina. We pull it, schedule the inspection, and get it signed off. You don’t have to do anything on that end.

Yes. We install chargers in a way that qualifies for available federal tax credits and utility rebates. We can provide the documentation you need when you file.
